On August 31st, 2026, Governor Lombardo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (Permitting Council). This MOU creates a framework for the State of Nevada to coordinate with the Permitting Council on FAST-41 designated projects in Nevada. Nevada Division of Minerals, in collaboration with the Governor’s Office and Governor’s Office of Energy, will facilitate the coordination among state regulatory agencies.
